Common Threads runs on donated clothes, donated time, and a bit of money. We’re a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Nobody here takes a salary, and every dollar goes into the closet.

What your donation pays for
Everything in the closet is free. Your donation covers what we can’t get secondhand.
New socks and
underwear.
We can’t take these secondhand, so every pair on the shelf was bought new. It’s our biggest ongoing cost.
Insurance.
It keeps the closet covered and the doors open.
Keeping the door
open in winter.
Plowing the lot, storage, hangers, racks and bags.
